This topic was modified 10 months, 2 weeks ago by X. ![]() I’ve since de-installed EZD3 and requested a refund. It would be safe to assume, that the next significant Superior Drummer 3 update is highly likely to follow suit, even though Tech Support has so far denied any knowledge of this. As if de-support an entire plugin format was not even worthy of note! This update is recommended for all users and fixes the issues below. The de-supporting of the VST (.dll) format plugin was not mentioned even once. Superior Drummer 3 sound library update 1.1.0 is now available to download using the Product Manager or from the ‘My Products’ area in your Toontrack account. Similarly, throughout all the promotional media fanfare leading-up to the release of EZD3 today. Superior Drummer 3 Superior Drummer 3 Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3.6 Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3.5 Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3.4 Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3.3 Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3.2 Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3.1 Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3. When I raised this with Tech Support they advised that this was the developers decision, but could not provide any explanation as to why the dev team had taken this decision and further that this detail was buried in the small print of their Specification of Requirements to be found at the bottom of their 82-page EZD3 promo webpage (did anyone else see it?). If you host your VIs on a networked Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 server, you will now no-longer be able to use EZDrummer 3, since VE Pro 7 only hosts VST & AU format plugins. ![]() ![]() ![]() Why have the developers dropped the VST plugin format in favour of VST3 format?
